REGISTRATION THROUGH THE DISCOVERY PROGRAM AT GENERAL BEADLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLWe are pleased to announce the year of our instrumental program at General Beadle School in June. Through a matching grant from the Classics for Kids Foundation, we have been able to purchase 8 violins, 4 violas and a cello to be used by the children at the Discovery Program in our first “musical head start” program.
Additionally, Dawn has been able to acquire 5 lever harps on permanent loan from a patron in Florida. A new string orchestra and harp ensemble! Our expanding programs include much more than just instruments for the children. We have developed unique lesson plans teaching the importance and relevance of classical music for children. A new spark has been generated and we’re thrilled to share the games and projects we have created. A great opportunity for students at General Beadle to experience the academic benefits of arts education.
