We Are South Dakota Virtual Choir 2013
Recorded in make shift recording studios in basements of libraries and back storage rooms of churches and schools in the Black Hills of South Dakota and the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. A 15 month community collaboration project with the professional musicians of the Orlando Chamber Soloists, in residence every summer in the Black Hills. Sung in Lakota, the native language of the Sioux and in English. A come as you are recording project. A chance for every child to be a part of something bigger than themselves, regardless of musical experience.
