Riders on the Storm Community Project

“Riders on the Storm,” a music video production created as a response to the pandemic of 2020 featuring a mural designed by the children of the General Beadle Discovery Program placed in Art Alley.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chamber Music Festival of the Black Hills designed a community project offering an artistic outlet for the children they serve each year. The main project, came to life through our online music classes with the students at General Beadle and through understanding the significant disruption the pandemic has imposed on their lives. Their ability to overcome social, financial and educational obstacles inspired us to develop an artistic outlet of expression for the students. We also wanted to create something positive for the community in these challenging times.
